Vienna for Food Lovers: Cafés, Markets & Austrian Cuisine
1.Vienna for Food Lovers: Cafés, Markets & Austrian Cuisine
Spend six hours eating your way through Vienna with a small English-speaking group and a local guide such as Christoph, Patrick, Maria, or Mary Ann. Visit cafés, markets, a sausage stand, and an Austrian restaurant while learning to use public transport. Expect coffee, pastries, street food, lunch, wine or beer, and enough food to skip dinner.

“Upon arrival at the meeting point, we were split into groups of six people. Each group had its own guide. Our guide, Mary Ann, was remarkable. She took us to five venues (a coffee shop, a community food market, a bakery, a restaurant and a street vendor) over the course of six hours. At each venue Mary Ann briefly explained the history of the place, the food offerings, how the venue fit into the life of the local community, and the local traditions for eating the food. The food was delicious. The staff at each venue was eager for us to eat as much as we wanted and to sample…”
